http://www.eve-search.com/thread/1274353/page/all You will always find at least 2-3 gas sites in the constellations mentioned in this post. Otherwise gas sites can spawn anywhere like relic/data sites.

btw my thoughts on visible mid- or lowslots: I don't think they should be visible... (unless there is a graphical hardpoint left) It would be a huge task to create a visible recreation of every module and would probably screw up many aesthetics. ...
